Defence & Offset Consultant                                                             

 

Jennifer Poclitar, is a Canadian citizen, with an Economics degree from University of Western Ontario, with over 30 years experience in the defence sector, including barter, countertrade, and offset experience with top Fortune 500 companies and numerous governments.  Initially Ms. Poclitar was employed by General Electric, involved with the localization of the CF18 aircraft support equipment for the Canadian F18 program, expanding such initiative into the creation and execution of a multi-billion dollar global industrial development program.  Subsequently, Ms. Poclitar expanded her industry knowledge in the automotive and transportation sectors with General Motors in 1993, including barter, countertrade and offsets in the automotive sector across disciplines of procurement, quality, and technology transfer.  From 2003 to 2013 Ms. Poclitar continued her employment with General Dynamics, gaining significant experience and insight across various programs in the defense sector.  Ms. Poclitar was on the Executive Committee and is the past Vice President of the Global Offset and Countertrade Association as well as having authored numerous papers and presentations with respect to global trends, developments and advantages of international trade.

 

Curriculum Vitae:

1984-1985: Joined Canadian Department of National Defence as an aircraft technician;

1985-1986: Canadian Public Service CF18 Aircraft Support Equipment Reconciliation project at CFB Cold Lake;

1986-1988: Joined General Electric as a Contracts Administrator in Toronto, Canada;

1988-1989: Deployed by General Electric to CFB Baden (Germany) as part of the CF18 Mobile Repair Team:

1989-1990: Joined Pratt & Whitney as an engineering build analyst for the 305 and 206 engines in Toronto, Canada:

1991-1995: Created home based business to raise Canadian debt/deficit awareness and donated all proceeds to Canadian Debt, received a Canadian medal for efforts;

1993-1995: Joined General Motors Locomotive Division, London, Canada, Logistic for Light Armoured Vehicle

1995-2004: Industrial Benefits Manager for Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Small Business Administrator for US activities (GM Division sold to GD in 2003);

2004-2011: Global responsibilities as an Offsets Director in Switzerland for General Dynamics European Land Systems:

2011-2012: Industrial Participation Director for GD Corporation located in Canada

2013-2014: Working with Recipco Capacity Exchange to launch new global trading system

2013 – present: IOG Trading Ltd.
